| ![]() || Wednesday, January 24, 2007 || FondueSnowflakes a-fluttering down, Landing on the ground, Covering both country and town In a sheet-white gown. Little children shout in glee And rush out of their doors, To make a snowman for all to see, As happy as can be. Snow melting a sorry sight, And in my heart I pray, With every ounce of my might, To save you from this plight. Awful and trite poetry written by yours truly. To do myself justice I wrote that when I was 11. But, makes for an interesting start, so included it. Anyhow, it snowed today. Neige fondue, the girl who lends us notes for Property Law called it. It means "melted snow" literally, though I suppose technically what the phrase really is trying to bring across "snow that will melt". Po-tay-to, Po-tat-to. They say the first snow of the season is magical. We-ell, it honestly wasn't. It was all rather messy. Strong wind, you see. The snowflakes were blown about and did not fall in an orderly manner. I do think that the weather should try to be more organised. That said, have a great day! I am going to rottle out some food now. Hungry. Ta! |
