Days 121 - 124: Venice

Day 1: Late arrival. Pasta dinner and general wandering.

Day 2: Venice bridges, St Marco (Patron Saint of Venice; very important figure once you delve into Italian/European History. Otherwise Mark, by the way). Murano (Glass island—glass not very pretty), Torcello (rustic isle) and Burano (fisherman’s isle, and very colourful) islands. Venice truly a place of beauty.

Day 3: General wandering, that Famous Church on St Marco’s Square whose name I cannot remember. More wandering.

Day 4: Doge’s Palace and Secret Itineraries Tour. Learned much about Casablanca. Ingenious man but horrible name. Some shopping, much wandering, rush to catch plane home. Nice dinner by the canal, friendly waiter and serenade by Singing Man on gondolas passing by.
